About Unita Design

Unita design is a contemporary letterpress design studio based in Norden, Lancashire. We specialise in wedding invitations and coordinating stationery. We have combined our five-century-old printing techniques with modern day contemporary designs, producing a unique impression that is not only aesthetic but has depth. Using the highest quality 100% cotton paper and coordinating envelopes, packaging and finishing touches producing a stylish product to make your day as memorable as possible.

About us

Co-founder and Creative Director (designer) Sandrine Pilling launched Unita Design in 2007. After studying surface pattern and completing many years experience in the design industry working all over the UK and France for companies such as Hallmark cards, Graham & Brown, Fine Art Wall coverings and Crowson fabrics. We founded the company after falling in love with the traditional printing techniques of Letterpress, adopting a vintage ARAB platen press along the way that is now one of the family.

Our Ethos

We believe in creating beautiful things, sharing our print and pattern ideas with the world, we believe black is definately a colour. Being nice to the earth is a step towards making things better. We like our tea and biscuits (or even cream cakes when the mood takes) at 11 o’clock. Looking after each other, laughing at least 10 times a day because happiness is the only starting point.

We believe in the age old saying “Have the serenity to accept the things you cannot change, courage to change the things you can and wisdom to know the difference”.

We are inspired by a quote by Ken Robinson “If you‘re not prepared to be wrong, you will never produce anything original”.

What we offer

Unita Design offers a myriad of personalised wedding invitations and co-coordinating stationery for your wedding day. You are able to choose from one of our existing designs which are available in both letterpress and digital stationery or if you have something even more personal in mind we can produce a more individual design for your wedding day (please see special rates section). We also offer the same service with our colour and text ranges, just drop us a line and let us know what you require. We can even embellish your cards to the theme of your wedding.

At the end of the day your wedding stationery is the first impression anyone will have of the most important day of your life so why not ensure that first impression is a lasting one and is as memorable as it can possibly be.
